The Ibrahim Abu-Lughod Institute of International Studies (IALIIS) concluded a series of lectures on the European Union (EU) on 1 December 2011. The lectures are part of a graduate course titled International Studies 735: The EU, which focuses on diplomacy.

The course included presentations by eight local and visiting experts on legal, political, economic and social issues within the EU. The course also addressed the EU as a regional organization and its development since World War II.

The IALIIS lecture series was held in cooperation with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.
