Birzeit University joins Arab Academics and Scientists Union

Birzeit University has joined the Arab Academics and Scientists Union, a non-governmental organization affiliated with the Arab League of States’ Council of Arab Economic Unity, through an agreement signed by Abdullatif Abuhijleh, the university’s president, and Ahmed Kamel Baker, the Union’s secretary general.

According to this agreement, both parties shall collaborate in organizing scientific conferences and training sessions for Birzeit University students, especially those who are majoring in natural sciences.

The Union, established in 2018, seeks to develop a network among Arab professors, researchers and academics, encouraging them to exchange their expertise and scientific and cultural knowledge, enhance academic curricula, and develop training sessions that adhere to the quality standards of higher education.  It aims to support the achievements of Arab scientists by showcasing their theoretical and practical accomplishments, both regionally and internationally.
